Well its easy 7 days process, start using wheat berries you grind at home into bread flour. You can also purchase a bag whole wheat bread flour, all purpose flour or bread flour unbleached at you local market. The sourdough discard can made into great recipes such as sourdough pancakes, focaccia bread, pasta Hawaiian sweet bread and more. Sourdough starter can be gluten free, but you have to use culture buttermilk instead using water. Note* you can not use tap water because of chlorine in the water.
Why make sourdough starter? You are making your own all natural yeast which is taking from air in your home. Yeast and bacteria that's naturally in the air. Sourdough starter dates back to Egypt 15 BC
